Hi! I thoroughly enjoyed your article this morning. It's funny how some connections just "click". I too have always loved my shredder. Since I am energized by sorting and weeding out things, and (odd though it may seem) love spring and fall cleaning; my shredder is a perfectly wonderful vehicle for accomplishing my begin-with-a-clean slate, goals of starting over refreshed. I start with a huge mish mash pile of junk paperwork and overload, and it swallows it readily and spits out a fine snowy mist of nothingness that I can recycle and completely get out of my life forever. But, it is a machine which also helps to build my sense of commitment and courage (okay, do I really need this paper or note I haven't glanced at since last year?; can life indeed go on quite happily without these files?; I love this and thought I might want to use it later for ..., now sit up straight, reread it once more and say bye for good, push the button and go, BUT should I?!; etc.). Much like the delete button and empty trash option on the computer. Maybe advanced technology isn't so bad after all - as long as we keep our perspectives always focused on learning and growing and cleaning up our act in preparation of our to-be-determined final glorious advancement to Heaven! Thanks and have a great day.
