Remembered it while preparing a gathering for friends & family, in honor of my deceased brother: Jay Spencer Angevine, 1954-2010. He loved to cook and was a Chef for many years. We, as children shared similar experiences, with "save the fork" encounters, so to speak. I was delighted to find your well written & told story, so I can take the salient points & print out an explanation of why there is one dessert plate w/ cake (his favorite: German Chocolate w/coconut frosting) and fork, set out for Spence, my beloved Big Brother.
